Tyler Parks and Recreation is excited to announce Camp Connect, a new 6-week summer camp, designed to bring generations together through meaningful interaction, shared experiences and fun-filled activities. The camp will be held June 8 to July 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the Tyler Senior Center, located at 1915 Garden Valley Road.
Camp Connect offers a unique intergenerational experience where youth and older adults engage in weekly themed activities that foster connection, learning and lasting friendships. From games and arts and crafts to wellness activities and storytelling, each week is thoughtfully planned to create memorable moments for all participants.
The program runs for six weeks and includes free breakfast and lunch daily. The cost is $125 per camper for children ages seven to nine. Registration opens Friday, May 8.
“Camp Connect is more than just a camp, it’s a space where relationships are built across generations,” said Kandice Johnson, Recreation Manger. “We’re excited to provide a program that encourages community, understanding and joy for everyone involved.”
